The Spring Expo is hosted annually by St Andrew’s School for Girls and will be taking place on 17 September 2016. This community event has been running for seven consecutive years and it has become a highly-anticipated and well-balanced event with a number of stalls and many fun-filled activities. The event supports local businesses and trade, as well as benefits our internal stakeholders, such as our rowing club and the Matric Dance Committee, in their fundraising efforts.
The Spring Expo has over 100 stalls available, showcasing fashion items, children’s toys, motor car displays, interior decorating, gifts and many more. This year, we are proud to introduce new brands to our elite list of exhibitors, such as Harley Davidson, wool products and matric dance dresses, to name but a few. We also have fun activities for the children, such as 25 different Rainbow inflatables including the 5m Twister Slide and the Wipe out Base jump, the ever-popular House of Horrors and a new Toddlers’ Play Area. There will also be a food court catering for many culinary tastes.
The annual official SA Schools’ Rowing ergothon will once again take place at the Spring Expo and promises great excitement. The four Senior School houses of St Andrew’s will also be battling it out on our squash courts for the coveted Interhouse Squash trophy.
Entrance fee is R20 for adults and free for under eighteens. We also have a free park ‘n ride with convenient parking arrangements to assist visitors.
All our external traders will be cash, credit/debit card or relevant app based. Our internal stakeholders, such as the beer tent and cold drinks stands, will be using a card system known as an E-Wallet to reduce the amount of cash on the school premises on the day. There will still be the option to purchase items from our internal stalls with cash or credit/debit cards if you do not have an E-Wallet on the day.
The St Andrew’s School for Girls Spring Expo 2016 promises to provide a wide variety of treats and bargains while you spend the day in magnificent gardens, surrounded by the rich history and culture of the school.
