Dr. Reza Mia is a world renowned expert in the world of aesthetic medicine. His innovative spirit and artistic eye has extended far beyond the medical and aesthetic world to that of aerospace engineering and luxury transport. Dr. Reza Mia brings the knowledge and skill that he gains from aerospace engineering and design and applies this back to aesthetic medicine to give his patients a truly unique experience and final result. This concept was validated when Dr. Reza began exploring a novel device that he envisioned designed to deliver babies who were in breech without the need for surgery.
The Mia family as a whole are committed to academic and philanthropic causes. They are not only the benefactors of the Smile Foundation, which aids in charity work to give children back their smiles due to cleft lips and other deformities, but Dr. Reza also assisted his brother (world renowned plastic surgeon and Order of the Baobab recipient) Dr. Ridwan Mia in one of the most groundbreaking and breakthrough surgeries ever to be performed in Africa – the first ever skin cloning transplant surgery for burn victim, little Pippie Kruger. In addition, Dr. Reza also rode the 94.7 cycle challenge for the Smile Foundation.
