The 10th annual Eco-Logic Awards hosted by The Enviropaedia will present its second virtual event on 3 November 2021. A highlight of the annual green calendar, the Awards recognise South African businesses, communities, and individuals working toward an environmentally sustainable future and a greener South Africa. Strategically held in conjunction with the upcoming COP 26 summit in Glasgow, the Eco-Logic Awards aim to put the spotlight on the urgency of action needed to combat the effects of climate change.
Entries opened in March this year, and submissions across the 11 categories were judged by a panel of esteemed industry professionals in the private and public sectors. “It’s so inspiring to see that despite the setbacks of COVID-19, these determined ‘Eco-Logical Champions’ have stayed true to their commitment to building a more environmentally sustainable and greener South Africa. It is tough to select the final winners, because so many of them are doing such amazing work in creating innovative solutions to our environmental challenges. We feel honoured to give them a platform and showcase their successful efforts,” says David Parry-Davies, Director of The Enviropaedia and the Eco-Logic Awards.
The winners in each category will be announced on the evening of the virtual award ceremony, at which we will host VIP guests including environmental movers and shakers, thought leaders and celebrities, corporate sponsors, and top business executives as well as government representatives.
Last year was the first year the Awards went virtual due to COVID-19 – and as a result, reached an audience of over 5500. The general public are invited to witness the 2021 Eco-Logic Awards and see for themselves the amazing work being done by SA’s Eco-Champions. Full list of finalists to follow:
